Dog Rescue & Sanctuary

B.F.E. Animal Rescue & Sanctuary is a no kill, not for profit Animal Sanctuary. It is operated by Stacie Brown and a small group of volunteers who donate their time to maintain a healthy and happy environment for all the animals. Give Stacie a call if you are interested in volunteering, it is a rewarding and useful experience.

Our goal at BFE is to bring in homeless animals, mainly dogs, take care of their medical and health needs, and place them in a good home for life. We love these animals and take great satisfaction in caring for them, some will never leave BFE due to medical or attitude issues... hence the Sanctuary aspect of BFE.

All of our adoptable dogs are spayed or neutered and up-to-date on all vaccinations. We do not charge ANY fees for adopting an animal and we are happy to educate or assist you in anyway before or after you take your new friend home. Please call us if you are thinking about adopting a dog or know someone who is...we desperately need to find good homes for a lot of nice dogs of different breeds and ages.

Please remember that we rely completely on donations from caring individuals and exceptional businesses(Huge thanks to Bluestones Rowe, Lula, Daphne, Shelby Gaia & Fender for all your support!!!) to help us help these unfortunate animals get back to a wonderful life.

We are always in need of of dog food, chews, stuffed animals, towels, blankets, and anything else a dog might want.

We are particularly always in need financial help and funding!!

Any donation is appreciated.. you may wish to donate one time or on a regular basis, we guarantee good karma and wagging tails as a result.

Pets 10 Commandments:

1. My life is likely to last 10-15 years. Any separation from you is likely to be painful.
2. Give me time to understand what you want from me.
3. Place your trust in me. It is crucial for my well-being.
4. Don't be angry with me for long and don't lock me up as punishment. You have your work, your friends, your entertainment, but I have only you.
5. Talk to me. Even if I don't understand your words, I do understand your voice when speaking to me.
6. Be aware that however you treat me, I will never forget.
7. Before you hit me, before you strike me, remember that I could hurt you and yet I choose not to bite you.
8. Before you scold me for being lazy or uncooperative, ask yourself if something might be bothering me. Perhaps I'm not getting the right food, I have been in the sun too long, or my heart might be getting old or weak.
9. Please take care of me when I get old. You too will grow old someday.
10. On the ultimate difficult journey, go with me please. Never say you can't bear to watch. Don't make me face this alone. Everything is easier for me if you are there - because I love you.
